Vernon Baumrind is a father, grandfather, and author whose life story is marked by resilience, dedication, and a deep commitment to his family. Living in Charlotte, North Carolina, he raised two children as a single full-time parent during a time when such a role was far less common for fathers. A seasoned real estate valuation professional, Vernon earned the pinnacle MAI designation, comparable to the CPA in accounting, and spent 20 years writing and producing hundreds of narrative appraisals for the banking industry. His work helped shape the development of the Charlotte metropolitan area during the 1980s and 1990s.
In addition to his career, Vernon is also a developer, having contributed to residential and industrial subdivisions in the Charlotte area. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to create a patented asphalt recycling technology, which is now used by the US Navy, US Marines, and several cities across the country.
